Public Relations Writing Samples
These are some examples of work I did in a Writing for Public Relations class. I learned about many different types of writing that are used for public relations, including press releases, various feature writings, Q&A's, and speeches.
Marketing Analytics Samples
These are some examples of work I did in a Marketing Analytics class. I learned many marketing analytics skills including how to use programs such as Trackur and SAS Analytics, how to form decision and research problems, and how to read qualitative and quantitative data.
Frank's Red Hot
For my Advertising class, I worked with a group to create an advertising plan for Frank's Red Hot Cheyanne Pepper Sauce. The plan contains information such as a SWOT and competitive analysis, research, budget, and a campaign strategy.
Kashi Media Plan
For my Media Planning class, I worked with a group to create a media plan for Kashi Foods, containing information on media objectives and strategies.
Design Work
This design work was created using Adobe Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator for my Advertising, Copywriting and Art Direction class. In this class, I learned design skills using Adobe, executing two advertising campaigns for Converse and Airbnb. I also created music posters for Odezsa. This class helped me immensely with my design skills.
Downtown Ithaca Alliance
This is a booklet created for the Downtown Ithaca Alliance containing recommendations for public relations. My group worked with the Downtown Ithaca as we put together the deliverables for this project for a senior capstone, Public Relations Lab. We gave recommendations on social media, student outreach and more.
Public Relations Capstone
Similar to Downtown Ithaca, this is a booklet designed and created for Heart Thread Yoga, a small yoga studio in the Ithaca area, for Public Relations Lab. We worked with Heart Thread's owner, Rachel, to improve her business. We gave recommendations about social media, redesigned her business cards, and generated community outreach ideas. We worked with Rachel for longer and more closely than Downtown Ithaca Alliance, so we were able to include more information and recommendations in this booklet
Website Development
When I was interning, I was flabbergasted that in order to make a simple change to a Web site - such as announcing an event cancellation - a professional programmer from an expensive Web design company had to be called. This meant an essential communications could not be made in a timely fashion.
I decided that I wanted to learn enough HTML to be able to make such changes. In my last semester, I took a computer science course in HTML/CSS and design. Not only can I make simple changes, but I can now design Web pages from scratch with a lot more flexibility than using something like Wordpress or WIX.
